Before You Start ...

Below is the break down of going through the 4 Gospels of the New Testament in 28 days.

Although the content on this site primary focuses on what is written about what Jesus Christ did while he walked on the earth.  The rest of the Bible explains so much more.

Thus there is an into below to give more insight as to why it was important that Jesus came as the Messiah.  It also explains why he is a savior.

Within the blog section there will be other content from the Bible as well as other points that can help you understand other topics as well.

Thank You for Joining Us

Hello I am Heidi von Liebenstein, and welcome.

This site is set up so you can learn more about who Jesus Christ is and the principles he lived by which made him a better human.  None of us like it when people misunderstand us or put words in our mouths which causes people we love to not like us.  (Neither does Jesus.)

This site is for you!  No matter what your background or understanding is of God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit.  We love God, and believe he wants to have a personal relationship with us, yet it is OK if you are not sure about if that is for you.  You are still welcome here.

When people say can you please give me a short explanation of “What this is about?”  I respond by saying, “The situations Jesus lived through stem from the same principles your current situations stem from.”

Humanity is a constant because deep down we all just want to be loved and accepted.  You do, members in your family do, and people around you do, just as Jesus does.

When we get into the content, you will not hear me talk about me or myself.  But here in the introduction, on some of the blog posts, and in extra side comments – you might hear a few things about me, and how God works things in my life, and the lives of others.  But this is not about me – it is about God, and what Jesus did for you.

Maybe you grew up in a God fearing home, maybe not.  I did, I grew up in a Christian home.  I heard God understands what you are going through, but in my mind, I would think – yea right – as I would roll my eyes, I would say, ‘talk to the hand’.

Jesus lived then, and I live now.
He lived there, I live here.
He was a guy, and I am not.
There were a lot of differences between Jesus and myself, so he doesn’t understand what I’m going through.

But as I matured, I realized that situations Jesus lived in, the time, the nation, the culture, the gender, etc. were all just different situations, not different principles.  He was still loved and accepted by some, rejected and despised by others.  His culture had political unrest, tension in the air, people were still greedy, controlling and hurtful towards others, yet he was unselfish in his actions because he wanted us to love him and accept his love for us.  The principles people applied around him are the same principles people around you are applying today.

The first time I realized this was in 2001 I was reading Mark 3: verses 20, 21 and 22.  (Read the verses)

After these two verses it goes on where the religious leaders used what His family said and twisted it to say that Jesus was possessed by the head of demons, and Jesus talks about how a house divided will fall.  I had remembered hearing sermons, and teachings about the next part of the scripture, but not verses 20 & 21.

Yet those two verses REALLY hit me!!

At the time I had a mother in law who, although she meant well, she would do the SAME THING.
She would step in and take control of a situation, make up lies, cause more problems and headaches than if she would have just kept to herself and minded her own business.

I remember thinking, …

Oh WOW –

Jesus does understand what I am going through …

It really was a moment of revelation

This is not about one religion verses another.  It is about how you can develop a personal relationship with God.  No matter what the religion is.

This does credit Jesus as the Son of God, born of a virgin (Mary), adopted by the man she marries, thus Jesus is also the Son of Man. Thus the DNA of Jesus is both Divine, and is mankind.

God the Father is in Heaven, and the Holy Spirit (or the Holy Ghost) still has power to work and operate today as it was recorded in the Bible.

Those are the principles, whatever religious situation you choose to operate your religion is your choice.
Catholicism, Christianity, Messianic Judaism, it is your choice.
If you choose to reject religion, that is also your choice.

Personally I tell people I am religious with my personal hygiene ..
I religiously brush my teeth, but do not floss as much as I should …

We are not here to tell you how to believe, or what to do.

We are here to point out the principles Jesus applied, and to let you know there is a Final Judge who Loves you with an amazing Love, full of mercy and grace, yet He also talks about consequences for the choices people make, both good and bad.

The word Christian is a title that is abused by many, but what did it originally mean?

What kind of person is a musician?

  1. Is it someone who believes there is music out there?
  2. Is it someone who can identify if something is an instrumented or not?
  3. Is it someone who does not own an instrument?
  4. Is it someone who cannot even read music?
  5. Is it someone who does not understand the mathematical fundamentals of sounds and timing?
  6. Is it someone tries and tries again to refine what makes good music, and then it just overflows out of them which delights those who listen?
Well then what would make a good Christian?

Can you look over the questions above, a good musician to what would make a Christian?

A Christian should be someone who studies the life of (Jesus) Christ and learns how to apply the fundamentals that Christ used to bridged the gap between God and man, so we can see how we can have hope in Christ, and hope in life beyond earth.

Everything on earth is temporary, everything after death will be permanent.  People can either seek God’s view and perspectives on things and to act as Christ did, OR they can choose to justify their own logic with control and selfishness.

The word Christian means “Christ-Like” and “little Christ”.  Here is a question for those who know the 10 commandments.  What if from God’s perspective, God sees people who call themselves Christians, not acting “Christ-like” or becoming a “little Christ” … what if God sees that as taking His name in vain?

Whose perspective matters at Final Judgement? Yours or His?

Who Has Had The Greatest Impact on Humanity?

If you could only name "1" Person, who would it be?

Depending on your culture and your time your answer might be different.
Some might say Ben Franklin, Martin Luther King, Alexander the Great, Julius Ceaser, or Mother Teresa.

Yet the one person who has impacted humanity the most is Jesus Christ.  He is talked about more than anyone else ever was, preached about every week.  The Bible has been the best-selling book for years.  No other book outsells the Bible.  Other books that make the top selling lists are about Jesus Christ, Christianity and how to follow him.

Holidays include, Christmas is to celebrate his birth, Easter is to celebrate his resurrection, Passover matters, because he was the Passover lamb, and these holidays are celebrated in many different countries and are not just a national day to celebrate someone within a nation’s culture.

Yet there are still some people who have not heard of him,
nor do they understand how or why he is the Messiah.

We will talk about why this is important.

Why you need to know this – and even if you choose to reject it, at least you knew it first

You see God gave us a right to choose.  Free choice, to love Him or to ignore Him.

He did not want to force us to love him, because that is not genuine love.

He wanted people to choose to love him.
He cherishes those who choose to love him, not just say ‘luv u’ yet have not heart behind it and do not really mean it.  He wants people to love him with all their hearts, their minds, their souls and their bodies.  This commandment was first given in Deuteronomy after giving the 10 commandments in chapter 5, Moses tells the people in Chapter 6:4 (Read verse)

WHAT IF?
What if before you can get into eternal paradise, God asks you how well did you love?
How well did you love others, yourself, my son Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Me as God of the Universe?
Will your words matter, or what God saw you do in the secret places of your heart?

Do you think God will skip over you, and not judge you according to the laws of the universe?
A child (who does not know the law of gravity) will jump up return back to the ground, because gravity is a universal law, even if the child does not understand gravity.

Eternity exists, Jesus talks about it.  Heaven and Hell are out there within this Universe, and Jesus DID come to save people from their sins.  We all want to be saved, but not usually from our sins.  Some people like what they do wrong and do not want to change.  That is their free will.
Yet there are universal consequences for the choices we make.
Just as Jesus made choices and the consequences from those choices brought universal redemption, salvation, acceptance, and love for all who choose to believe in Jesus as the only Son of God.

Although we will talk mainly about what is written in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.  There is so much more within the whole Bible.  It talks about how before the earth was created, God created the Heavens, and all that was within it.

The heavenly beings worshiped Him. Then pride came to one third of the angles.  Satan and all the angles under him, rebelled against God.  The Devil (Satan) thought he was greater than God.  He did not need God.  He did not need to worship God.  Even though Satan perceived himself as greater than God, he was kicked out of Heaven by God.

In the beginning when God created the earth and all that is in it.  God also created people, Adam and then Eve from one of Adam’s ribs.  God created people because He wanted to have someone choose to love God and be His friend.

Satan came through a serpent (or as a snake) and caused Adam and Eve to sin.  Which has brought death to our world, and has separated us from God.  Before they sinned, they walked with God.  After they sin, the Bible records how they hid from God.  We as people have been trying to hide our sin and or ourselves from God ever since.  (Yet He still knows.)

Their sin effected all of everyone.
Now humanity has the universal curse of sin, physical death.
There is nothing people can do to break that curse.  In the Old Testament, God gave instructions as to what people were to sacrifice after committing sins, or what the price was to pay.
The consequences of their choices.

Some people try to deny God, and refuse to seek him.  They try to fill their loneliness with another person, with hobbies, with things, with work, with food, with drugs, with social media, and or other addictive substances.   Yet deep down they do not find true contentment within their souls, and they are never truly happy.

Sin separates us from God.  Yet we can still talk to God.  We can even feel God’s love, His healings, and His blessings if we do not have a personal relationship with Him.  Most people do not realize God was working in their lives until later and they look back at what was going on in their lives.  But those who choose to develop a personal relationship with Him, enjoy it even more.

The only way to be permanently redeemed from the curse of sin was that someone needed to pay the sacrifice for sin, a Passover lamb.  Then we could have an eternal personal relationship with God as God had intended before the Fall of Man (heaven).  Thus protecting us so we do not receive the same eternal consequence as what they Fallen Angles will be receiving (hell).

We are all perfectly imperfect.
Yet only a perfect person could be a perfect sacrifice.  Prophets in the Old Testament, spoke of the Messiah, who would be the Christ and how He would bridge the gap sin created between God and man.  If you want to have the hopes of living eternity in Heaven, then you need to understand the spiritual laws God established for ALL to be judged by.

Remember God gave humans a freedom to choose.  We also need to respect people do have the right to accept or reject God’s truth.  It does not mean they are better than God.  Nor that God’s final judgement will not happen.  It just means they have the right to make their own choices.

Jesus did come from a family tree that had some obviously imperfect people.  Jesus also had honorable men and women in his family tree, they were also imperfect, yet beyond their imperfections they loved and obeyed God.  They respected Him, and honored Him.  God saw was within their hearts, and even when they made mistakes (some more than others) God saw whose heart still meant to do well by God.

There are many people now, and there have been many people who have already lived, yet our lives are but a short breath and then we are gone.  God remains before us and after us, He is always looking for someone to be His Friend.  But He is Holy.  The only way to have a personal relationship of depth that will last beyond this present life, is to understand the purpose of God’s plan for your redemption.  To understand Why and What Jesus did, so one day you can also help someone else learn God’s Plan for their redemption.

In Summary:

Like many people I did NOT think God understood what I was going through or that he even cared.  Yet as I have matured I have learned how the situations that Jesus went through stemmed from principles that my current situations stem from.  So HE DOES understand what I am going through

I have also learned that the more I study to understand what He went through, I get a deeper understanding of how deep his love is for me, for you, and others whom we encounter.

Sadly I have also learned that many use the title “Christian” yet they do not even know what that word means or what principles Christ applied.

Is This For You?

Absolutely!

This IS for you!
We put this together for anyone who wants to learn more about who Jesus Christ was.
Hopefully you will choose to let God touch your heart, so you can connect with God on a deeper level.  But if you choose not to, we respect your choice to reject Christ as well.

God established a spiritual law just as there are physical laws that God also established when He created the earth.  Even if you do not understand God’s laws that doesn’t mean He did not establish them.

A child who does not understand gravity or how the law works is not bothered by the lack of understanding, because gravity is a physical law, not a spiritual one.

Yet a person who does not understand what God put into place is bothered by the lack of understanding because God KNOWS what is beyond our understanding.  And He loves you and does not want you to perish.  This will stir within your spirit because this has to do with spiritual laws.

God created us with a part within our hearts and our souls that ONLY God can fill.
If you do not learn more about What Jesus Did, than how can you know how to apply better principles to your current situations?
